The Ortho Neuro Center of Excellence provides quality care for patients with injuries or illnesses relating to the areas of Orthopedics and Neurology. The center, offering services at various Mountain States facilities, specializes in:
- Bone/joint disorders
- Broken bones
- Osteoporosis
- Joint replacement
- Reconstructive knee surgery
- Head injuries
- Back/neck problems
- Stroke
- Other brain injuries and disorders
The RehabPlus Center for Outpatient Rehabilitation has four locations to provide preventive and therapeutic services to meet the rehabilitative needs of individuals, businesses and community organizations to help them reach their highest level of ability. RehabPlus uses techniques such as aquatic therapy to help patients gain strength and independence following an injury or illness. RehabPlus also offers WorkSTEPS, an employment testing and work injury prevention program.
The Stroke Center is a program of the Neuroscience Division of Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC), served by an intensive care unit, a progressive care unit and a medical/surgical neuroscience telemetry wing. The Stroke Center is staffed by specially trained nurses, physicians and neuroradiologists.
The Joint Replacement Center has facilities at JCMC and Indian Path Medical Center (IPMC). The treatment team includes experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeons and other professionals specializing in total joint replacement. The team will plan an individual treatment program for each patient.
The James H. and Cecile C. Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital is the region's most comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Dedicated to maximizing improvement of function, the staff treats problems related to:
- Brain injury
- Stroke
- Amputation
- Spinal cord injury
- Burns
- Orthopedic injury
- Rheumatologic impairments
- Neurological and neuromuscular problems
- Major multiple trauma
