Level 1 Trauma Center
Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) is designated by the State of Tennessee as a Level 1 Trauma Center. This means that JCMC offers access to multiple surgical specialists 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Wings Air Rescue
When distance, location or road conditions could delay transport or endanger a patient's condition, Wings Air Rescue is available for rapid and expert transport. With four bases throughout the region, residents can rest assured that no matter where they are in the region, Wings can help.

Synergy Laboratories
Synergy Laboratories is a full-service laboratory, composed of the laboratories within Mountain States Health Alliance. At Synergy, the primary focus is to provide accurate and diagnostically meaningful test information for better patient management.

Pharmacy
Pharmacy services are available at many Mountain States facilities. JCMC and Indian Path Medical Center (IPMC) offer pharmacy services 24 hours a day in their Emergency Departments.

Transplant Services
The kidney and pancreas transplant program at The Transplant Center at JCMC is fully approved to perform kidney transplants, pancreas transplants, and combined kidney and pancreas transplants. The program serves pre- and post-transplant patients in a seven-state region.

Skilled Nursing
Skilled Nursing units, available at various Mountain States facilities, provide nursing services for patients who need inpatient care for chronic conditions.

Diagnostic Imaging Services
Mountain States Diagnostic Imaging provides a wide array of high-quality imaging services and facilities. The system offers a comprehensive range of imaging services throughout the Northeast Tennessee/Southwest Virginia region.

Surgical Services
Whether you are having inpatient or outpatient surgery, Mountain States Health Alliance uses the latest equipment and procedures and serves patients' needs in all surgical specialties. Our surgical facilities are supplied with the latest equipment and staffed by some of the nation's top surgeons.

Mountain States HomeCare and Hospice
Mountain States HomeCare can shorten a lengthy hospital stay, eliminate the need for a nursing home, manage a medical condition or newly ordered medication, or serve as an alternative to hospitalization. The healthcare team comes to patients in the privacy and comfort of their homes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hospice offers pain and symptom control, enabling terminally ill patients to live as fully and comfortably as possible.

NICU and PICU
The Neonatal and Pediatric intensive care units at JCMC provide care for the most delicate babies and sickest children in our region. Specialized nursing staff, neonatal nurse practitioners and neonatologists care for the infants in the NICU, and the PICU is under the direction of pediatric intensivists.

St. Jude Tri-Cities Affiliate Clinic
The St. Jude Tri-Cities Affiliate Clinic is one of only five in existence, following more than 200 children with pediatric cancer and blood disorders. It allows children with cancer and blood disorders to receive much, if not all, of their treatment close to home.
