Tuition Reimbursement
Mountain States Health Alliance offers a 100% tuition reimbursement program to eligible Team Members who are interested in enhancing their skills in their current positions or are preparing for another position within the organization.
You are eligible if you:
- Have completed a minimum of six months of employment
- Are employed full or part time (benefits-eligible) with Mountain States
- Full-time Team Members may be reimbursed up to 12 classroom hours per term
- Part-time Team Members may be reimbursed up to 6 classroom hours per term
Before you begin your course of study you must:
- Review the list of approved educational institutions and programs covered by the Mountain States tuition reimbursement program.
- Obtain approval to participate in the program from your assistant vice president or above.
- Submit a letter of purpose to the vice president for Human Resources or designee through the Mountain States e-mail system. A sample letter can be found on the Mountain States HR intranet Web site. Your letter of purpose should contain the following:
- Your name and current position within Mountain States
- The goal for taking the course and/or pursuing the degree
- How Mountain States will benefit from assisting with your education
- The degree or program that is being pursued
- The name of the college or university
To apply for tuition reimbursement:
- Complete the Application for Tuition Reimbursement and return the form to HR within two weeks of the beginning of the class.
- Submit a copy of your grade(s) for the course(s) to HR along with an original receipt for payment of tuition once the class has been completed.
In order to qualify for reimbursement, the final grade for undergraduate courses must be a “C” or higher. Graduate courses must have a final grade of “B” or higher.
