New Team Members

An introductory (probationary) period of six months is provided to all new Team Members as an opportunity for you to learn and adjust to your new work. During this time you are expected to demonstrate your interest in the job and your ability to perform your job responsibilities, and to display the kind of work-related behaviors that create an environment of service excellence and Patient-Centered Care.

During this introductory period, your supervisor will assess your performance and assist you in learning the requirements of your position. It is also your responsibility to ask questions and to seek your supervisor's assistance and the help of your fellow Team Members, when needed, in order to learn and make sufficient progress in the job. If your performance does not meet established standards, your introductory period may be extended. Likewise, your employment may be terminated at any time during the introductory period should your progress be unsatisfactory.
