Transferred / Promoted Team Members
Upon successful completion of six months of employment, you are eligible to apply for any open position for which you are qualified. The application of a current Mountain States Team Member who applies for transfer to a posted vacancy for which he or she is qualified will always be given consideration. Qualifications taken into consideration will include prior work performance, demonstrated commitment to service excellence and Patient-Centered Care, and work-related behaviors, as well as knowledge and experience. The Team Member who has superior or equal qualifications to an outside applicant will receive favorable consideration and will be granted the transfer.
When a promotional opportunity occurs, it is Mountain States' policy to attempt to fill the vacancy with qualified, current personnel. Criteria will be the same as required for transfers. If you are transferred or promoted and are subsequently unable to meet the performance requirements of your new position, you cannot be guaranteed your previous position or any other position in the event you are recommended for a demotion.
For those Team Members who assume a lateral position or are demoted, your annual performance review date will not be changed.
For those Team Members who are promoted, your annual performance review date will be changed based on the effective date of your promotion.
